2021 Francis Coppola Merlot

by William

Hi folks, it’s William again, your friendly neighborhood kid sommelier! Today, we’ve got something rather special – the 2021 Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Merlot. This isn’t just a California story; it’s a West Coast story, with grapes from both California and Oregon!

Pour it into a glass and you’re instantly greeted by a deep, ruby red color. It’s as dazzling and enticing as the most coveted LEGO gem in your collection.

But, let’s move onto the aroma. I love this part! Give it a good sniff and you’ll notice a parade of ripe fruits like cherries, plums, and a hint of blackberries. It’s as diverse and captivating as all the characters in your favorite Star Wars movie.

Just like an unexpected plot twist in a movie, you might catch a hint of something extra in this Merlot. There might be a touch of spice or an earthy undertone – a little like finding a rare, shiny Pokémon card in your pack.

From what I’ve learned, Merlot wines have a medium to full-bodied character. It’s got a certain heft to it, like the satisfying feel of a completed LEGO structure in your hands. That’s probably how this wine would feel if we could taste it.

This Merlot is a team player when it comes to food. Whether you’re thinking about a juicy steak or a comforting pasta, it’s got your back, ready to support like a good football quarterback.

To finish off, I can tell you that this wine probably leaves a lasting impression, a bit like the exhilaration you feel after hitting a home run in a baseball game. You know, when the crowd goes wild and the cheers echo around the stadium.

And there we have it – the 2021 Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Merlot. This California gem is an adventure of its own, told through the vibrant color and intriguing aromas, all worth exploring even if you’re just looking and sniffing.
