2021 Estancia Pinot Noir

by Madison

Pinot Noir - Estancia - 2021

Let’s talk about the 2021 Estancia Pinot Noir, another treasure from those tricky Pinot Noir grapes. These are the ones that only grow really well when everything is just right – like that perfect sunny day when you don’t need a sweater but it’s not too hot for ice cream either.

This particular wine comes from Monterey County in California. Now, Monterey is special. It’s like the cool kid in school that everyone wants to be friends with. It’s got lots of sun, but the nearby ocean sends cool breezes that make the grapes super happy.

The 2021 Estancia Pinot Noir looks like a sunset you can’t take your eyes off. It’s got this gorgeous ruby-red color that makes it really stand out.

Smelling this wine is like walking into a kitchen where a fresh fruit pie is baking. You can smell ripe strawberries and juicy black cherries. But there’s something else, too. It’s a little bit like the smell of a pine forest – that’s a cool earthy scent that really adds something special.

Tasting it – well, from what I hear – is like a fun surprise. You get those sweet fruits that you smelled, but also something a bit spicy, like a dash of cinnamon on your hot chocolate. It’s balanced out with a refreshing hint of forest flavors, kind of like a breath of fresh air during a hike!

And the finish? It’s super smooth, like the satin ribbons on my dance shoes. And it lasts a long time, like the sound of a church bell echoing in the distance.

This Pinot Noir would go perfectly with a big, hearty meal. Maybe a nice beef stew or a spicy pasta dish. The fruity and spicy flavors in the wine would match up really well with those!

That’s all about the 2021 Estancia Pinot Noir from Monterey, California. I’m excited to share about the next wine with you!
