2021 Banshee Pinot Noir

by William

Pinot Noir - Banshee - 2021

Alrighty, let’s go for a deep dive into the 2021 Banshee Pinot Noir from Sonoma County, California! I’m picturing this like a rollercoaster ride – full of twists, turns, and unexpected delights.

Now, imagine you’re picking up that wine glass, just like a video game controller. The adventure is about to begin. You bring it closer and take a whiff. At first, you’re hit with a burst of ripe red fruit – it’s like your nose just stepped into a farmers’ market on a sunny Saturday morning. There are cherries, strawberries, and raspberries, all sweet and inviting. It’s as if you opened up a fresh pack of fruit gummies, only these are way more sophisticated!

But wait, there’s more. If you keep sniffing, you’ll start picking up on the earthy stuff – like you’ve left the bright, bustling market and ventured into a forest on a dewy morning. There are the scents of leaves, damp soil, and maybe even a touch of that woodsy aroma, like the smell of a wooden bat before a big game.

Moving on from the smells, let’s talk about its body. It’s light to medium-bodied. I think about it like the feeling of a brand-new baseball glove – not too heavy, but with a presence you can’t ignore. This Pinot Noir is nimble, it’s light on its feet, but it definitely leaves an impression.

Now, if this wine were in school with me, I’d say it would be the most popular kid around. Why? Well, it’s super versatile and it pairs well with so many foods. It could be game night with a slice of pizza, a family dinner with roast chicken, or even a sushi takeout night. This Pinot Noir would fit right in, just like that one friend who’s great to have at every party.

And don’t forget about the finish – that’s the aftertaste that lingers once you’ve swallowed. The 2021 Banshee Pinot Noir should have a fairly long finish, like the echoes of a good song that stick with you even after the radio’s been turned off. It might leave you with a hint of those ripe fruits and earthy undertones, making you want to go back for another sip – or in my case, another sniff!

So, there you have it! The 2021 Banshee Pinot Noir seems like one heck of a journey packed into a wine glass. From the bustling farmers’ market of fruit aromas to the calm forest of earthy tones, it’s a true adventure for the senses. And even though I can’t taste it myself yet, I’ve got to say, it sounds like a whole lot of fun!

Madison – Age 9

Hi!  My name is Madison and I started learning about wine when my mom and dad started taking courses.  Even though I can’t drink wine yet, I can still learn a ton and it’s fun to smell the different wines and see if I can guess what type of grape it is. I also like sports, cooking & dogs.

William – Age 12

Hello, my name is William. I have started taking an interest in wine when my parents started taking wine classes for a business my dad is opening.  My goal is to be able to review wines properly, just by sight and smell. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.
